Susie Smith's Bike Ride for Community Hospice

Saturday, May 17 - Saturday, August 2

Susie Smith is completing a 4,046-mile journey across America on her bicycle to raise awareness and money for Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.  Both Susie's parents were cared for by Community Hospice, and she wants to show her appreciation as well as raise money to ensure quality, end-of-life care is available to everyone who needs it in Northeast Florida.  Follow her progress by visiting her blog and reading her journal entries.  Show your support by making a donation in her honor. Please remember to mark the donation in honor of Susie Smith.

Group counseling services are available through Community Hospice for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. The eight-week long therapeutic support groups will help you identify ways to cope with your loss.  Sessions will cover common grief reactions, coping strategies and staying connected to your loved one.  Program participants must meet with a bereavement counselor before joining a group. Services are available at no charge to Community Hospice families.  Cost to community participants is $100 but may be adjusted based on ability to pay. Costs cover the assessment and group sessions.
