Community Hospice Names John Campbell Jacksonville, Florida - Community Hospice of Northeast Florida has hired John Campbell as director of human resources. Campbell will be responsible for developing and administering human resources policies, programs and practices for the nonprofit organization. Under the direction of the chief of business operations, he will oversee human resources strategic initiatives, including diversity, compensation and benefits, recruitment, employee development and training, performance management and employee relations for more than 700 Community Hospice employees.
Prior to joining Community Hospice, he was director of training and organizational development for Allstate Workplace Division, formerly American Heritage Life Insurance in Jacksonville. Campbell’s background also includes leadership roles as co-founder and managing partner of two Jacksonville-based human resources consulting practices.
He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida State University and master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Campbell is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), an international human resources organization.
According to Phillip Ward, chief of business operations for Community Hospice, “It takes special people to fulfill our mission of improving quality of life for patients and their families. A Florida native, Campbell lives in Neptune Beach with his wife.
