Get Support: For Family Caregivers
How does Community Hospice help caregivers?
- By managing your loved one's pain and assisting with activities of daily living, your stress will be reduced. We can also provide training on how to meet the unique needs particular to your loved one's physical condition, as well as help with insurance paperwork and other practical matters.
We offer caregivers counseling and emotional support for what is surely one of the most challenging tasks in life. Having someone that can help you prepare for what to expect along the way can bring enormous relief. And sometimes caregivers just need a compassionate ear and someone who understands what they are going through.
- Members of the care team are there for you with the information and resources to help you care for yourself as you care for another. We can run errands for you, deliver medications, sit with your loved one so you can get out of the house for a little while, or provide longer periods of respite care, if needed.
- Importantly, you are never alone. You will have a phone number to call a Community Hospice professional at any time of the day or night, any day of the week (including holidays) to answer your questions, listen, and help ease your concerns.
