Healthcare Professionals: Established in 2001 as Northeast Florida's only teaching and research center for end-of-life studies, the Charles M. Neviaser Educational Institute at Community Hospice offers area health care professionals a variety of continuing education opportunities. Community Hospice is accredited by state and national certifying agencies to offer Continuing Education (CE) credits to nursing staff and social workers. Program topics may include hospice care, grief and loss, pain management, ethics, advance directives and more. Many of these programs meet state guidelines for maintaining licensure and are appropriate for small groups or large audiences. Institute staff are pleased to be a part of your on-site education or host your staff at our facility. Physician groups seeking Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit also may enlist Community Hospice to present appropriate programs, as led by our physician-staffed medical services team.
