New Grief: Good Grief
A Program for the Newly Bereaved

Each of us will experience grief at some point and while it is a universal experience, it is also a unique one.  There are no healing formulas or "right" ways to manage grief but there are healthy and effective ways to cope and achieve balance in our lives.

New Grief: Good Grief is a program designed to help Community Hospice of Northeast Florida families begin to come to terms with the loss they have recently experienced.

This one-hour group workshop will help attendees:

  • Recognize the loss and begin to accept the accompanying pain
  • Identify physical and emotional reactions to loss
  • Learn ways to help alleviate bereavement-related stress
  • Become familiar with the healing process

Workshops are held throughout the area.  The next program is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Community Hospice Outreach Office in St. Augustine. To attend a workshop, the death must have occured within the last 90 days and attendees must be 18 years of age or older.  To reserve your space, call Roxanne Clemens, LCSW, Manager of Bereavement and Community Grief, at 904.407.7001. Go to our calendar for other dates and locations.
